Who we are
Socaltur Turismo Ltda, founded in 1950, in Novo Hamburgo city, state of Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil, has started as a public transportation company. In 1972 it started operating as a tourism transportation company. In 1976 it became a travel agency, operating and managing trips in Brazil, Americas, Europe, East and Middle-East.
Mr Armindo Robinson, CEO of the company, currently administrates the Socaltur Group, which is formed by "Sociedade de Ônibus Capivarense Ltda", in the city of Ivoti, which encompasses gas station and delicatessen; Socaltur Turismo Ltda, with its headquarters in Novo Hamburgo and "Pousada Parque Robinson" (inn), in the district of Nova Vila, offering 200.000m² with leisure area, theme park, inn and restaurant, being prepared to hold events.
The administration of the group companies is under responsibility of Mrs Remilda Kunz Holler, and its ultimate mission statement is to do the right thing, meaning the establishment of a safe and credible-based relantionship with its customers and partners.
Socaltur Turismo has joined Lufthansa City Center group in December 2003 in the travel agencies field, being currently connected to 80 countries and more than 600 agencies around the world, making communication and services easier to any and all Socaltur customers. Since then it bears the name Socaltur Turismo Lufthansa City Center. In order to improve Socaltur internal procedures, a customer assistance center has been created in order to aim specific needs. |
